The stamp Muchnik Publishers created on 1973 under Mario's Muchnik direction oriented to the edition of contemporary authors of the Hispanic literature. The first book edited by Muchnik was the Y otros poemas of Jorge Guillén, printed in Mexico and was distribuit in Spain.
From 1991 it happened to belong to the Group Anaya under the denomination Anaya-Mario Muchnik and opened new lines of publications in which authors predominated of the spanish and catalan literature. In 1997 changes the name of the stamp to Muchnik Publishers. In 1998 the Group Anaya sold the stamp to the Group 62 that kept it as a stamp in the Group. With this acquisition, the Group 62 consolidated the line in spanish and expanded the presence of his catalogue of authors. Moreover, ceased to publish in catalan because the Group already had other stamps devoted.
The 2002 Muchnik Publishers was renamed as Aleph and initiated a new stage focused to the translation of essay on literature. Nowadays, this stamp still finds active with the Group Planet.
Along his path his catalogue features of some 600 titles. In his collections stand out novel and narrative of classical and contemporary authors, literary biographies, memories and daily.
Throughout his career, Muchnik Editores has had several collections, some of them short and others with longer travel. Each of the collections had the objective to dealing a specific theme.
Book of thematic islamic religious, the history develops in the Istanbul of 1918, to an Ottoman Empire that sinks, of which have to go out the sultan and his family, has some autobiographical demonstrations.
Work devoted to the fall of the Ottoman Empire and the European fascisms. The work arose from the murder of the king Alexandre I of Yugoslavia, for this reason used warriors led by Hassan Ibn Saba to end the Empire. It was devoted sarcastically to Benito Mussolini.
Work published on 1960 for Canetti, the Nobel of literature on 1981, provides information about the sociological and anthropological field with this work, stating relations between the types of mass and the strategies of control with which the political leaders and the powerful manipulate.
The Nobel of the peace on 1986, does an autobiographical trilogy. The first one is about a teenager that goes through of concentration camps. The second is about a period of reflection on the successos in Palestine. And finally the third is about an history of love that will not cure the havoc of the Holocaust. Wiesel creates three human states, each represented by the night, the dawn and the day.
