Request tours and teaching sessions

The Library of Catalonia offers guided tours for groups or teaching sessions with a selection of materials of BC. The length of tours can be between 45 minutes and an hour and a half. The groups must be between 5 and 20 persons; if more, please indicate it at comments. Aimed at any group that wants to take a tour to the Library.

The taught sessions offer the opportunity to university professors to teach theoretical and practical classes using the BC’s collection and materials, which are been previously selected.

The BC also organizes special sessions aimed at university groups with the following program:

  • Explanation of the general collections of BC in power point (30 minutes)
  • Visit to the offices of the BC, including the Museum Marès
  • Display of documents suitable for studies of students (may be proposed by the teacher)

Also, BC offers guided tours of the residence where Joan Maragall lived, the House-Museum and Archive Maragall, or teaching sessions with a selection of archive material.

  • General tours are held Wednesday from 10 to 14 h. and from 16 to 20h.
  • Specific tours for Secondary and High School students are held every Tuesday and Thursday from 10 to 14 h.
