La Renaxensa: periodich de literatura, ciencias y arts (1871-1898)

Periodical founded in 1871 by Peter Aldavert and directed first by Francesc Matheu and later by Àngel Guimerà. It was a very important magazine in the cultural world of the time which disseminated Catalanist ideals. In 1876 it was renamed La Renaixensa. Initially it was printed monthly, and from 1880, when it became a newspaper, it was a supplement.
