Storage, Conservation and Preservation Service (SEPIC)

Tasks and functions

It organizes and manages the stacks of the library both in terms of space and equipment requirements, and the delivery of documents to reading rooms. It takes care of conservation and preservation of documents. It gives advice about these matters to other institutions of the country.

Who works in Storage, Conservation and Preservation Service (SEPIC)

History

Created in 1995 by the Decree 300/1995 of the structure of the Biblioteca de Catalunya. It comprises the binding and restoration workshops, which previously belonged to the former Escola de Bibliotecàries.
