Bofarull, Antoni de, 1821-1892

Antoni de Bofarull i de Brocà (Reus, 1821 – Barcelona, 1892) was a Catalan writer and historian. He was one of the main literary proponents of the Renaixença, and he also helped to restore the Floral Games. In 1962, he wrote the first historical novel in Catalan, L’orfeneta de Menargues o Catalunya agonitzant.
