Premi de Novel·la Curta Just Manuel Casero

Just Manuel Casero Madrid was the founder of Punt Diari de Girona in 1979 and was elected councillor of the first democratic city council of Girona by the Socialist Party of Catalonia (PSC-PSOE).
La Llibreria 22 created this award for short novels in his memory in 1981 in honour of his links to Girona and its culture. The publisher, Empúries, published the books of the winners of the Premi Just Manuel Casero between 1986 and 2006, and in 2012 they resumed the publications.
