Premio Biblioteca Breve (1958-1972, 1999-)

To introduce new authors and to distribute in Spain and Latin America the best works by renowned authors are the two ideas that inspired this prize, one of the most prestigious by Seix Barral. It was held between 1958 and 1972, and relaunched in 1999. It was first held on the 14th of June 1958 in Sitges and was won by Luis Goytisolo for his work, Las afueras. The winners include:
